Earlier this month, when Gucci Mane dropped his fully loaded mixtape, Views From Zone 6, the tracklist raised a few eyebrows with the placement of Chief Keef and Andy Milonakis on one track, “Right Now.” Then the same day, Keef dropped his Sorry 4 the Weight mixtape with another collaboration with Milonakis.
Not that the meeting of those minds is any less surprising now, Keef has at least given us a window into how the pair worked together. In a video posted to his YouTube account, video footage shows the pair along with Fredo Santana in the studio, sipping on lean, passing blunts and going in together on verses.
Milonakis fits right into Keef’s world and the rap world at large, equally doling out praise for the rapper (“I was listening to Keef with like 50 Cent and Wiz [Khalifa] and they both sound like business executives next to him. Keef has got that f—— real hood sound”) and instructions on how to prepare lean.
“The bouquet of the flavor of the codeine shouldn’t be tampered with the flavor of Sprite. So you put that s— in a glass bottle of Pellegrino and you’re leaning for real though,” Milonakis says.
By the end of the clip, it’s clear that we’ll be hearing more from the pair soon.
Of course, this hasn’t been Milonakis’ first foray into rap. Along with his rhymes on his short-lived MTV show, he is also part of the trio Three Loco, along with Riff Raff and Dirt Nasty.
