Chief Keef’s upcoming court hearing for his March arrest has been postponed so that it won’t interfere with his touring schedule, a judge has ruled.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the rapper, born Keith Cozart, will not appear in court until Aug. 22 for a DUI arrest made earlier this year. The news comes after his attorney, Leah Starkman, made the request in Lake County court; Cozart was not in attendance.
The judge, in addition to pushing back the court appearance, also deemed it necessary for Chief Keef to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation in California. The rapper is currently recording new music for an album there.
